Another day down the tubes. As much as I TRY to be productive, something always seems to slap me in the face and say, "Away with that productiveness! Away!!!" (ironically, that voice always sounds British in my head..I have no clue why).
After D and I dealing with sickness yesterday - I was feeling pretty dang good by the end of last night. It was about time. D was still hit or miss, but I was feeling good. I wasn't exhausted and in typical Tami fashion, stayed up late. I hadn't been doing that for a while, which is very UNLIKE me. I was actually going to bed earlier ... yet feeling MORE tired the next day in doing so. I'm happy to say...I'm back on track.
So this morning when I hear the faint sound of a whimper coming from Big A's room about 5:00 am, I ignored it. I told myself it was a dream. A minute later, I heard it again...a bit louder. I buried my head in my pillow and thought happy thoughts. A minute later, it was a wail:
"MOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!! OWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!"
Okay...at this point, I ran in there. Enough with the ignorance. Big A proceeded to say, "My tummy hurts!"
Crap! (see...I DO say that word a lot)
Within 15 minutes, she had hurled. (Yes...I said hurled. And as I said that, a vision of Keanu Reeves from Bill and Ted's popped in my head.)
Obviously, there was no school in her immediate future today. And that was a shame, as it was Cinco De Mayo and they were having a celebration of sorts..and she was auditioning for the talent show with four friends after school. I decided, "Enough with this stomach flu!!! We need to find out what is up!" (once again...British accent) So I made an appointment and we went in...to be told that we were susceptible, there was nothing we could do, our family just picks that particular illness up easily and oh...Big A STILL has a popped eardrum and some funky infection and needs a heavy duty antibiotic and ear drops.
At any rate, the doctors visit wasn't a waste.
Oh...and D got up, got dressed in brown, complained a bit, but walked out the door and drove to work. A half hour later, he called and said he was on his way home. Apparently the tummy of D was not quite ready for an 11 hour day slinging boxes around. Needless to say...after his three hour nap and two days of TV, he's bored, a bit ornery and NEEDS to go to work tomorrow.
As for Big A - she's fine. No more hurling. She's perky. She's on her way to school tomorrow. I'm knocking on wood right now that Little A stays healthy. Knocking on wood hard.
I need to work tomorrow too. Trust me, I do.

2 meandering thoughts:
Oh no, you poor things sounds like everyone has been ill. Crap is such a great word to use for times like these! Hope everyone is better and you can start enjoying the warmer weather.
The Lee family has had FAR to much pukiness lately! Hope you can all get healty and stay that way for a LONG time! For whatever reason, we rarely get the pukey stuff. I think my kids have thrown up 3-4 times in their lives. However, Jenna catches every cold germ that floats within 10 feet of her.
